2024 SPRING & FALL PAR/BIRDIE JUNIOR PROGRAMS

Registration for the Spring 6-Week Par Program is now open.

Parents, you will find the best junior programs in the area here at Harbor Links, for any level of junior experience.  We have three U.S. Kids Golf Certified Instructors. Sonny DeFeo has also received Honorable Mention as U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Teachers.  On top of that, our Director of Instruction, James Hong, is a THREE-time U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Teacher in America, a U.S. Kids Golf Lifetime Top 50 Master Teacher, a U.S. Junior National Team Coach. James is also a Titleist Performance Institute Junior Coach Professional. 

Experience levels are based upon the following:
PAR - for beginners, intermediate/beginner skill level, playing for 3 years or less. 
BIRDIE - for intermediate level juniors who are looking to focus more on improving scoring through skills refinement, fitness, and mental training.  A skills assessment or pre-approval from one of our instructors is required for enrollment; see the assessment schedule below in the Birdie Program section.
Students who show potential for tournament level golf will be invited to join the Elite program and the National Developmental Junior program.  "Birdie" juniors may also play in our Harbor Links Invitational Tournaments, held April - October.
EAGLE/PRE-ELITE - for juniors that already play on a competitive level, such as individual tournaments and high school varsity golf.

SPRING 6-WEEK JUNIOR PAR PROGRAMS

The perfect program for the beginner or casual-intermediate junior golfer.  The first 4 weeks focus on learning the basic skills of golf, such as short game, iron and driver shots, all within a fun, safe, and challenging environment.  The basic rules of golf and proper etiquette are also learned and applied throughout the 6 weeks.  The final 2 weeks are out on the golf course, learning to transfer those skills into play.  Groups are small, limited to 7 students per instructor, so each child will receive lots of individual attention.  
Wednesdays are additional free practice days for the kids, under the supervision of the instructors.  These alternate week-to-week for each group, based upon the day attending.  Email invitations are sent out for each week, and there are spots for the first 15 that respond. 
There are NO MAKE UPS for missed sessions.  Please make sure that your child can attend all 6 weeks, and the rain date.  
Minimum age requirement of 7 years old, date of birth by no later than March 1, 2017.

$450 per child, 6 weeks, 1-&-1/2 hours each class

Registration opens 10:00 am, February 26.  Any forms submitted prior to this will not be accepted.

FREE Wednesday Supervised Practices:
an additional session is held on Wednesdays so that the kids can practice what they have been learning in the program.  
All practices are 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Reserved for the first 12 that respond to the email invitation for each week.  You cannot reserve a spot prior to receiving the invitation.

BIRDIE & EAGLE/PRE-ELITE PROGRAMS

These monthly programs are part of the U.S. National Developmental Programs, and are designed to help those juniors who wish to focus a little bit more on their golf skills, with the potential for serious play.  The program through the year, Spring-End of Fall.  If your child is a beginner or casual golfer, please check out the PAR Program above. 
Scoring skills development is at a premium, with time on both the golf course and the practice area.  Practices are also designed for juniors who plan to compete in the Drive, Chip, & Putt Championships. Those juniors who show the potential AND the love for serious, competitive play, can graduate to and be invited to join the Elite junior program, as well as the U.S. National Junior program, under U.S. National Team Regional Coach, James Hong. 

*Juniors must pass a skills assessment before acceptance to the program.
